Karnal, November 26: At a program organized on the occasion of National Constitution Day in the auditorium of the Municipal Corporation of Karnal, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ashok Kumar extended his best wishes and congratulations to the officers and employees of various departments present. The Preamble of the Constitution was also recited on this occasion.
He said that the Constitution is not just a document; it is a living declaration of India's identity, our shared aspirations, and democratic values. The Indian Constitution holds a special place on the world stage. He said that our Constitution respects the freedom and opinions of every individual.
He urged that on this occasion of National Constitution Day, we should pledge to make a significant contribution to nation-building by ensuring adherence to the ideals of the Constitution. The Preamble of the Constitution states, "We, the people of India, solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign socialist secular democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens justice, social, economic and political; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation, do hereby adopt, enact and give ourselves to this Constitution."
He urged employees to remember the Preamble of the Constitution when making decisions during their work. Everyone should imbibe values in their lives that contribute to nation-building.
