Una/Nangal, July 30 (Rajveer Chopra): An investiture ceremony was held on Thursday at SSRVM Senior Secondary School, Naya Nangal, amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and discipline. The chief guest for the event was Satish Sharma, President of SSRVM Senior Secondary School, Una.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, followed by a prayer dedicated to Goddess Saraswati (*Saraswati Vandana*). Subsequently, the office bearers for the school's student council were announced. Aditya Chandel was appointed as Assembly Head, Madhav Sharma as Sports Head, Vineet Chaudhary as Cultural Head, Harpreet Singh as Discipline Head, and Ojasvi Tyagi as Science Head.
Devesh Saini was selected as Head Boy, Uday Saini as Junior Head Boy, Roselyn as Head Girl, and Chahna as Junior Head Girl.
Similarly, appointments were made for the various houses: Khushbu (Captain) and Ayush Sharma (Vice-Captain) for Maa Durga House; Avika (Captain) and Piyush (Vice-Captain) for Lord Krishna House; Lavish (Captain) and Pratishtha (Vice-Captain) for Maa Lakshmi House; and Manpreet (Captain) and Geetanjali (Vice-Captain) for Lord Shiva House.
The chief guest pinned badges on the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Vice-Captains, Sports Captain, Cultural Secretary, and other office bearers, administering the oath of office and secrecy. A blend of responsibility and excitement was clearly visible on the students' faces as they donned their badges. The newly appointed office bearers pledged to abide by school rules and discharge their duties with sincerity, honesty, and dedication.
In his address, chief guest Satish Sharma stated that leadership is not merely about issuing orders but about inspiring others by setting a personal example. He urged the students to fulfill their responsibilities with discipline, a spirit of service, and a sense of duty. Congratulating the newly appointed student council, the school's General Manager, Sumesh Sharma, stated that the council would serve as a strong bridge between students and teachers and play a pivotal role in the success of the school's various academic, cultural, and sports activities. He remarked that a true leader is one who works with a spirit of service.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. Teachers, students, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Everyone appreciated the event and extended their best wishes to the newly appointed student council for a bright future.
