Nawanshahr (Des Raj Bali):- The Senior Citizens Association, Nawanshahr, has rescheduled its function to mark International Senior Citizens Day from October 23 to Thursday, October 22, due to certain reasons. Providing this information, Association President S.K. Puri said that the event would be held as announced earlier at Bai Ji Di Kutia, Pandora Mohalla, Nawanshahr, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district will attend the function as the chief guest. Senior officials from the Health, Police and Social Security departments will participate as special guests.
A cultural programme will also be presented to entertain the guests and members attending the event. Special arrangements have been made for lunch for everyone attending.
President Puri has requested all respected members of the Association to attend the function on time along with their family members.
On this occasion, Association Adviser Professor S.K. Bruta, Senior Vice President Ramdhan Chaudhary, Vice President Lalit Ohri, General Secretary Sukhdev Sharma, Secretary Husan Lal Bali, Treasurer Ashok Sharma, Press Secretary Parshotam Bains, Rakesh Jyoti and Manohar Lal Ahuja were also present.
