Chandigarh, November 3 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini today virtually inaugurated the essay writing and 'Suno Kahani Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Di' competition organized in schools across the state on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at the Haryana Secretariat. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini paid tribute to the unparalleled courage, sacrifice and supreme sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and said that the life of Guru Sahib is a unique example of truth, courage and humanity.

Hon'ble Chief Minister, Mr. Naib Singh Saini, while interacting with the students, listened to their views and motivated them to learn from the life of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. On this occasion, four students presented Sakhi Vachan and shared inspiring incidents related to the life of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Congratulating all the students, teachers and parents who participated in this event, the Chief Minister said that the aim of this competition is to encourage the new generation to take inspiration from the lives of their Gurus and national heroes and follow the path shown by them. He said that from Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, all the Gurus have sanctified the land of Haryana with the dust of their feet and their teachings are deeply embedded in the minds of the people here.
Chief Minister Shri Saini said that more than three and a half lakh students from schools across the state are participating in this event, which is proof that the new generation is taking inspiration from the ideals and sacrifices of their Gurus. He appealed to the students to participate wholeheartedly in the competition and implement the message of sacrifice, tolerance, equality and justice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in their lives.
He said that today's technological generation should use social media and other resources to spread the message of humanity, compassion and brotherhood. Here, a true tribute will be paid to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He appealed to all students, teachers and citizens to resolve to make the nation stronger through their actions and thoughts.
