Lehragaga/Moonak, June 27:- Under the **'Lok Milani'** campaign being run to convey the welfare policies and achievements of the Punjab government to every household, Cabinet Minister **Advocate Barinder Goyal** today visited various wards of Khai, Khandebad, Kala Banjara, Jalur, Gurne Khurd, Gurne Kalan, Bakhora Khurd, Bakhora Kalan and Lehragaga. During this, he listened to the problems, demands and difficulties of the people and gave information about the people-friendly policies and schemes of the government.
During his address, Minister Barinder Goyal said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is the government of the people of Punjab, which is working for development, prosperity and peace. He alleged that the opposition parties want to gain power by dividing the people in the name of religion and caste, while the Aam Aadmi Party is giving priority to the all-round development of the state and the welfare of the people.
He said that Punjab does not need a double-engine BJP government, but needs an Aam Aadmi Party government that works for the interests of Punjab. Terming the BJP, Congress and Akali Dal as communal parties, he said that these parties have harmed Punjab by dividing the people in the name of religion and caste.
Minister Goyal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister **Bhagwant Singh Mann**, the Punjab government has done historic work for development, prosperity and peace. He said that farmers are the backbone of the country and to increase the income of farmers and reduce expenses, underground pipelines have been laid by spending crores of rupees to provide canal water to every farm.
He alleged that the central government has withheld crores of rupees of Punjab's Rural Development Fund (RDF), due to which the development work of villages and cities is being affected. He assured that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will not allow any shortage of funds for development works in the state.
Addressing people in various villages, he appealed to them to submit their documents to the BLO under the Voter List Improvement (SIR) campaign. He said that no eligible voter’s vote will be cut and if anyone faces any problem, he can contact them directly.
Minister Goyal claimed that BJP is trying to gain power in Punjab by cutting votes with the help of SIR, but the people of Punjab will not let their plans succeed. He took a dig at the discussions of a possible alliance between Akali Dal and BJP and said that even if all the opposition parties come together, they will not be able to stop the victory of Aam Aadmi Party in the 2027 assembly elections.
A large number of party leaders, workers and volunteers were present on the occasion.
