Kharar/Gharuan, March 19: The Punjab government is continuously making efforts to provide high-quality health services to the people and to prevent diseases. Under the leadership of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, many important steps have been taken to strengthen free treatment schemes, vaccination campaigns and primary health services in the state. Under these efforts, an HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination campaign was started at Primary Health Center Gharuan under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana.
On this occasion, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana said that HPV vaccine is very important to protect girls from serious diseases like cervical cancer. This vaccination is especially useful for girls aged 14 to 15 years. By getting this vaccine on time, the risk of cancer in the future can be reduced to a great extent. All parents are requested to get their daughters vaccinated.
On this occasion, Dr. Amanpreet, Dr. Jaspreet, Nitesh Attri Pharmacist, Raman Staff Nurse, Parveen Akhtar Health Supervisor, Rupinder Kaur and Kirandeep Kaur Health Workers, and Ishmeet Kaur BSA were also present.
The Health Department has appealed to the people to take full advantage of this campaign and contribute to making their 14 to 15 year old daughters safe from serious diseases by getting them vaccinated.
