Patiala: In a case registered under the Arms Act and regarding robbery, the court of Honorable Additional Sessions Judge Ravi Gulati, accepting the arguments presented by Advocate Harinderpal Singh Sodhi, has granted regular bail to an alleged accused, Baljinder Singh, son of Maila Singh, a resident of Balbehra.
According to defense counsel Harinderpal Singh Sodhi, the Kotwali Police had registered an FIR based on an informant's tip-off, which alleged that some individuals were sitting in a car near the dilapidated government quarters near Sheesh Mahal and were planning a robbery while possessing lethal weapons. Consequently, during a police blockade set up at the roundabout near Vinni Gas Agency, 5 individuals were apprehended along with lethal weapons.
A case was registered against them on May 21, 2026, under Section 310(5) of the BNS and Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act. Out of the five alleged accused, regular bail has been granted to one accused, Baljinder Singh.
