Fatehabad, September 13:- With the objective of promoting Hindi as the official language, explaining its importance and utility, and encouraging the interest of Power Grid employees and the general public in Hindi, a poetry conference was organised at the Power Grid guest house by Power Grid Corporation of India, Fatehabad Substation, on the occasion of Hindi Day and Hindi Fortnight. The programme was presided over by Senior Deputy General Manager Jitendra Kumar, while senior litterateur and wandering photographer Dr. Om Prakash Kadyan participated as the chief guest. Power Grid engineer Sudhakar Rawat conducted the programme. Renowned Fatehabad poet and Vedic speaker Dr. Sudama Shastri, senior writer Dr. Suman Kadyan and poet Sumanlata ‘Suman’ won appreciation with their poems. Along with them, Rashmi Arora, Power Grid Manager Raman Kumar, Junior Engineer Chandra Kiran, Pankaj Sahay, Amar Singh, Ayush Kumar and Suryansh also shared their views and created a Hindi-oriented atmosphere through their poetry.
During the inspiring and entertaining programme, city poet Sumanlata ‘Suman’ recited a poem highlighting the neglect of Hindi at several places. She said, ‘Hindi, our beloved language, wandering door to door in defeat while English rules with pride, helpless Hindi, whom can it tell?’ Through her second poem, ‘Even after wanting to, a person can no longer sleep’, she portrayed the psychological condition of a human being running after money. Dr. Sudama Shastri praised the importance of Hindi in the following manner: ‘Knowledge and science, wise Hindi, great Hindi throughout the world, the identity of Hindustan, Hindi is my heart and my faith.’ Along with this, Dr. Sudama raised his voice for environmental protection and against social evils. Educationist and litterateur Dr. Suman Kadyan advised people through her poems to respect Hindi and conduct official work in Hindi. Regarding the growing dominance of money over our lives, she said, ‘Money consumed a joyful life, money overshadowed dreams, money made us forget nature, money consumed the innocence of children.’
Poet Rashmi Arora beautifully portrayed the role of Hindi in our lives and in the development of the country through her poem. Sudhakar Rawat also added colour to the programme. Senior Deputy General Manager Jitendra Kumar said that we should be proud of our official language Hindi. By using Hindi in speaking, writing and reading, we can take the country and society on the path of progress. Hindi has played an important role in the exemplary development achieved in India.
Senior litterateur and chief guest Dr. Om Prakash Kadyan said that Hindi newspapers and magazines, quality literature, litterateurs, Doordarshan, Akashvani centres and Hindi cinema have made a significant contribution to the development of the country. He said that while respecting all languages, we should give Hindi the highest place. Dr. Kadyan advised litterateurs to use simple Hindi in their literature. This will increase the popularity of Hindi. At the end, Jitendra Kumar honoured the invitees on behalf of Power Grid.
