Shimla:- The impact of snowfall that started in the upper areas of Himachal is clearly visible on the weather of Punjab. Due to this, the effect of cold has increased due to lack of sunshine. On Saturday, the temperature in Punjab dropped by 3 degrees, while the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for fog in Punjab for December 14-15.
On Sunday itself, the first fog of the season made life slow and hectic. Due to the dense fog in the early morning, visibility on the roads became very low, due to which motorists had to face great difficulties. Most of the motorists had kept the lights on during the day. The speed of the vehicles remained very slow and people travelled cautiously, seeing the risk of accidents.
The mercury is continuously falling
According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Punjab has reached 7 degrees, which is indicating that the cold will increase in the coming days. In Amritsar, a drop of 3 degrees has been recorded in the temperature during the last 24 hours. The period of hiding between clouds and sun continued throughout the day on Saturday.
On Sunday too, clouds appeared in the sky after 4 pm and the sun disappeared. According to farmers, the fog may have a mixed effect on the crops. After the first fog of the season on December 14, the sun also came out by around 10.30 in the morning.
