Chandigarh:- People across Punjab have got a big relief from the heavy humidity and unbearable heat that has been lashing them for the last two days. Clouds have opened in the state early today (early morning) and more than half a dozen districts received heavy and light rain. With this rain, people across Punjab have breathed a sigh of relief and have felt a great relief from the heat.
According to the latest information received from the Meteorological Department, today many major parts of Punjab such as Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib, along with many other small and big cities and nearby areas, received good rain. Due to this early morning rain, the temperature in the state has also dropped drastically, due to which the weather has become quite pleasant and cool.
Meanwhile, the experts of the Meteorological Department have also made an important prediction for the coming days. According to the department, this series of rains is likely to continue in Punjab for the next four days. In view of the changing weather and strong winds, the Meteorological Department has also issued a 'Yellow Alert' in the state for the next four days, so that people can be careful during bad weather. While this rain has saved the common people from the sweltering heat, this rain is also being considered very beneficial for the paddy crop in the fields. The temperature is expected to drop further with the rains in the next four days, due to which people will continue to get relief from the heat for the entire coming week.
