Kharar, 24 March: Under the guidance of the Punjab Government and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, various awareness activities are being continuously conducted to improve the health of the people. Under this initiative, following the proper directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain, and under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana, students of Saraswati Nursing College Gharuan presented an awareness play in the Out Patient Department of Primary Health Centre Gharuan.
Through this play, patients were informed in a simple manner about oral hygiene and its importance. The play depicted what kinds of diseases can occur due to improper care of teeth and mouth, and how adopting proper habits can lead to a healthy and happy life.
On this occasion, Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana, while sharing his views, said that oral hygiene is an important part of our overall health. Such awareness programs prove helpful in promoting healthy habits among people. We all should brush our teeth at least two times a day and get regular dental check-ups done.
Medical Officer (Dental) Dr. Hardeep Kaur said that oral hygiene is often neglected, which is leading to an increase in tooth decay, bad breath, and gum diseases. People should brush their teeth properly, reduce the intake of sweet items, and get dental check-ups done from time to time so that diseases can be prevented.
On this occasion, Medical Officer Dr. Saroj, Dr. Rahul, Staff Nurse Amandeep Kaur, Staff Nurse Raman, and B S A Ishmeet Kaur were also present.
