Chandigarh, July 29:– Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao held a meeting with the Multi-Purpose Health Supervisors (Male/Female) and ASHA Workers Union leaders in Chandigarh. The main objective of the meeting was to listen in detail to the problems of the frontline workers of the health sector, long-pending demands and practical challenges faced at the workplace and resolve them.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Dr. Sumita Mishra, Mission Director of National Health Mission Haryana Mr. R. S. Dhillon, Director of National Health Mission Dr. Virendra Yadav and many other senior officers of the department were also specially present.
During the meeting, the union leaders placed their demands and problems before the Health Minister. Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao listened to all the legitimate demands of the workers very carefully and sensitively.
The Health Minister gave clear instructions to the officers to ensure that the legitimate demands of the employees are resolved on priority and within a specified time frame. He said that the role of multipurpose health supervisors and ASHA workers is very important in strengthening health services in the state, as they directly connect with the people at the ground level and provide the benefits of health schemes. In such a situation, protecting the interests of the employees and providing them with a better working environment is among the government's initiatives. The officers present in the meeting were instructed to take immediate action on the points raised by the union representatives and expedite the processing of the relevant files, so that positive results can be achieved in time.
