Hoshiarpur: Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain stated that, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's ambitious and public-welfare-oriented initiative "CM Di Yogshala," awareness regarding health, yoga, and a positive lifestyle is steadily increasing among the people of the district. Launched by the Punjab government, this special initiative is playing a pivotal role in building a healthy and happy Punjab by connecting thousands of people with yoga today.
The Deputy Commissioner explained that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's objective is to ensure that the physical and mental benefits of yoga reach every section of society, enabling every citizen to lead a healthy, stress-free, and energetic life. Through the "CM Di Yogshala" campaign, the Punjab government is providing free yoga training to the public, thereby aiding in the realization of the vision of a "Rangla Punjab" (Vibrant Punjab).
Regular yoga classes are being organized across various villages, wards, parks, and community centers within the Hoshiarpur district. Currently, a total of 731 yoga classes are operational in the district, with a large number of women, youth, elderly citizens, and students participating daily to practice yogasanas, pranayama, and meditation.
Trained yoga instructors are not only guiding people through yoga but are also providing essential information regarding healthy lifestyles, stress management, and daily health-related practices. According to experts, regular yoga practice reduces mental stress, boosts the body's immunity, and ensures that an individual remains physically and mentally healthier.
Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain remarked:
"The 'CM Di Yogshala' initiative, launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is a commendable effort aimed at making society healthier and more aware. The increasing participation of citizens in the district demonstrates that people are becoming increasingly conscious of the benefits of yoga. We appeal to all citizens to join their nearest yoga centers, practice yoga regularly, and contribute towards building a healthy and 'Rangla Punjab'." With the cooperation of the district administration and concerned departments, the "CM Di Yogshala" campaign is being successfully conducted in the district, and the objective is to connect an increasing number of people with this initiative in the times to come.
