Ratia, July 21: The Department of Higher Education, Haryana, has released the proposed admission schedule for the Postgraduate (PG) Hindi course for the 2026-27 academic session at Shaheed Davindra Singh Government College for Women, Ratia. According to the schedule issued by the department, female students can register on the online admission portal from July 19 to July 26, 2026.
College Public Relations Officer Prof. Surendra Sharma stated that students should complete the online application process within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any inconvenience during the merit list preparation and counseling stages. He advised students to keep all necessary documents ready beforehand to ensure a smooth application process.
Admission Nodal Officer Prof. Ritu explained that the documents required for the online application include an Aadhaar Card, Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), 10th-grade certificate, 12th-grade certificate and result copy, caste certificate, character certificate, income certificate (for BC category only), migration certificate (for students from other universities), a passport-sized color photograph, an active personal e-mail ID, a permanent mobile number, and a bank account in the student's own name.
She mentioned that students would be able to make necessary corrections to their application forms via OTP from July 18 to July 27. Meanwhile, the respective colleges will verify students' documents online from July 18 to July 28. If any error is found in an applicant's application, it can be rectified through their login account.
According to the admission schedule, the first provisional merit list will be released on July 29, and the first final merit list will be issued on July 30. Selected candidates will be required to deposit their fees during the first phase of counseling, scheduled from July 31 to August 2. Seats belonging to candidates who fail to deposit their fees within the stipulated time may be considered available for the next round.
According to the department, physical counseling for vacant seats will commence on August 3. Subsequently, the online application portal will reopen on August 4, allowing new candidates to register and apply. The admission process for remaining seats will continue from August 5 to August 11 with a late fee of ?100; from August 12 to August 18, admissions will be available with a late fee of ?100 plus an additional daily charge of ?100.
College Principal Prof. Paramjit Sandha urged female students from Ratia and the surrounding areas to enroll in the M.A. Hindi program. He emphasized that Hindi is not merely our mother tongue and a carrier of our cultural heritage, but also a subject with immense potential for employment and research in the current era. He noted that under the New Education Policy (NEP-2020), studying Hindi language and literature opens up vast opportunities in fields such as translation, journalism, media, content writing, digital media, Artificial Intelligence (AI), e-content creation, teaching, competitive examinations, and research. He encouraged students and parents to lay a strong foundation for a bright future by choosing M.A. Hindi for higher education.
