Una, December 25:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that by 2027, Haroli will become the first assembly constituency in the country where water will be available to every household and every farm, and the entire region will be 100 percent potable and irrigation-free. To achieve this goal, decisive action is being taken in the area in a planned and phased manner.
He said that in Haroli Assembly Constituency, priority is being given to holistic and futuristic development in important sectors like education, sports and health along with infrastructure, so that a strong foundation can be laid for the coming generations along with meeting the present needs.
He was addressing as the chief guest at the annual prize distribution function of Ban Bihari Nand Brahmachari Government Senior Secondary School, Saloh, Haroli Assembly constituency on Thursday.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister honoured the students who performed excellently in academic, sports and cultural activities and announced to give Rs 31 thousand for cultural programmes.

*Emphasis on holistic development of education, sports and health*
The Deputy Chief Minister said that government schools across the state are being developed in a phased manner along the CBSE pattern. Additionally, modern and quality educational infrastructure is being developed under the Rajiv Gandhi Model Government Day-Boarding School Scheme. *A synthetic athletics track will be built in Roda at a cost of Rs 10 crore*
Mr. Agnihotri said that to strengthen sports infrastructure, a state-of-the-art synthetic athletics track will be constructed in Roda village, Haroli Assembly constituency, at a cost of approximately ?10 crore. This track will help hone the area's athletic talent.

*Strong foundation in the field of education*
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Haroli Assembly constituency has undergone robust and forward-looking infrastructure development in the field of education. Today, the area boasts 32 government senior secondary schools, three government colleges, two ITIs, a law college, a nursing college, a triple ITI, and a Kendriya Vidyalaya.
He informed that the construction of the Dr. Simmi Agnihotri PG Degree College, Haroli College, will be completed soon at a cost of Rs. 12 crore, while construction of an indoor stadium at Khad College is underway at a cost of Rs. 13 crore. Work is also underway on the construction of a day-night football stadium in Khad.

*Once there was water shortage, today Haroli has become a water-rich constituency*
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that work on the Beet Area Phase-2, a lift drinking water scheme costing Rs 75 crore, is progressing rapidly. Under this scheme, water will be lifted from the Swan River and transported to a 1.1 million liter capacity tank in Palakwah, from where, through a 43 kilometer main pipeline and an 80 kilometer distribution system, approximately 50,000 canals of land in 28 villages will be irrigated.
He said that under Phase-1, the work of providing water to the farmers through 18 tube wells at a cost of Rs 44 crore has already been completed, due to which the Beet area has today become a major centre of cash crops.
Apart from this, a new irrigation scheme worth Rs 100 crore has been approved under the MCAD component, under which the irrigation system will be strengthened with modern technology in three clusters, Tahliwal, Haroli and Khad.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the schemes of the Jal Shakti Department have been completed in Pubowal, Baliwal, Haroli and Naganwali at a cost of Rs 24 crore.

*Development work worth crores in progress*
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that an automatic vehicle testing center is being established at Roda in Haroli at a cost of Rs 5 crore. Additionally, construction work is underway on a traffic park at a cost of Rs 8 crore and a rest house at a cost of Rs 7 crore. Construction of a heliport at Roda, costing Rs 13 crore, is also progressing rapidly. He said that a bus depot will also be opened soon in Haroli.

*Focus on strengthening health services*
Mr. Agnihotri stated that concrete and decisive steps have been taken to strengthen health services in the Haroli Assembly constituency. Fifteen specialist doctors have been deployed at the Haroli Hospital. Community health centers have been established in Bitan, Kungrat, and Dulahad, and primary health centers in Kuthar and Baliwal. Currently, 35 doctors are serving the public across the constituency.
He said that the construction of the Saloh PHC will also be completed soon. Additionally, a satellite center of PGI Chandigarh is being established in Malahat, providing the area's residents with access to advanced and specialized healthcare facilities within their own area.

*Entire Haroli CCTV covered*
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Haroli Assembly constituency will become the first in the state to be fully CCTV-covered. Cameras are being installed at all entry points, main roads, intersections, markets, and important locations.
He said the government is taking strict action against drug abuse, taking strict action against those involved, and public awareness efforts are continuing.

*Government is the family for destitute children*
Referring to the Chief Minister's Sukh-Aashray Yojana, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the state government is playing the role of a parent for children who are parentless or have no one to care for them. Under the scheme, each child is provided with ?4,000 monthly pocket money, a clothing allowance, and a festival allowance.
He said that Himachal Pradesh is the only state in the country which has given legal status of 'Children of the State' to orphan children.
School Principal Vikram Bahadur presented the school's annual report, detailing academic, sports, and co-curricular activities. Cultural and patriotic performances by school children captivated the audience.
Congress District President Ranjit Rana, Block Congress President Vinod Bittu, Ashok Thakur, SMC President Rajkumar, Gram Panchayat Saloh Head Anita Jaswal, Subhadra Chaudhary, Surekha Rana, Pramod, and other dignitaries were present at the event. School staff, parents, students, and a large number of local residents were also present.
