Ratia, July 8:- The annual prize distribution and felicitation ceremony was organized with great enthusiasm and in a dignified atmosphere at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Khai. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Surender Singh attended as the chief guest, while Block Education Officer Shashi Prakash, Village Sarpanch Amandeep Kaur, SDO of the Public Health Department Aanchal Jain, and Sarpanch representative Advocate Gurjeet Singh Dandiwal attended as guests of honor. The program was presided over by the school principal, Avnish Garg.
In his inspiring address, chief guest SDM Surender Singh stated that good and quality education is the strongest foundation for success. Citing the example of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, he urged the students to dream big, be disciplined, imbibe good values, and work hard consistently. He assured that there would be no shortfall in providing better facilities to the students in the school.
Upon arrival, the chief guest and other guests were given a grand welcome with bouquets. Principal Avnish Garg presented the school's annual progress report, stating that the students have brought glory to the school by achieving excellent results in board examinations. He expressed special gratitude to SDM Surender Singh, stating that with his support and guidance, the shortage of staff has been resolved, strengthening the academic environment.
On this occasion, the chief guest honored the meritorious students who performed exceptionally well in various classes with certificates and trophies. In class 12th, Manpreet Kaur stood first, Simran second, and Jyoti third. In class 10th, Simran, Aarti, and Mandeep Kaur secured the first, second, and third positions, respectively. Meritorious students from other classes including Sumandeep, Mansi, and Khushdeep (11th), and Gurvinder, Pooja, and Khushi (9th), along with high achievers from 6th and 7th grades, were also honored.
The school students enthralled the guests and parents with performances of Haryanvi folk dance, group songs, and an impactful speech on the importance of education.
Village Sarpanch Amandeep Kaur assured the school of all possible support, stating that arrangements for a library and water tank would be made soon. She emphasized that the Gram Panchayat is always committed to the development of the school. SMC President Manjit Kaur praised the disciplined environment and quality education in the school. Meanwhile, SDO Aanchal Jain and ABRC Kuldeep Singh praised the school's management and promised their continued support in the future.
At the end of the program, educationist Dr. Naib Singh Mander presented a vote of thanks, stating that the school family will continue to work with complete dedication and commitment for the holistic development, moral values, and quality education of the students. The ceremony was successfully and effectively conducted by lecturer Charanjeet Singh.
The event was attended by Warden Maheshi Manav, Panchayat members Gulab Singh, Champu Ram, Seema Rani, Praveen Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Sunita Monga, lecturer Ghanshyam Napa, Sonu, Seema, Sharita, Beant Kaur, Veerpal Kaur, JE Amandeep Singh, Chhotu Ram, along with the entire school staff, parents, and a large number of prominent citizens from the area.
