Haryana/Hisar: To commemorate the glorious completion of 90 years of Akashvani broadcasting, a grand 'Mega Marathon' was organized today by Akashvani Hisar. It is noteworthy that, marking the 90th anniversary of Akashvani—established in 1936—various centers across the country are organizing special programs this year to showcase Akashvani's unprecedented contribution to the nation's development. In keeping with this initiative, the Hisar center organized this marathon.
The Mega Marathon was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Haryana Cabinet Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa. In his address on this occasion, the Cabinet Minister stated, "Akashvani has remained the voice of the nation for decades. When it comes to imparting healthy values, entertainment, and accurate information to society, Akashvani is unparalleled. Its contribution to the country's development and public awareness is incomparable."

More than 300 participants—including youth, the elderly, and children—took part in this marathon with great enthusiasm. Organizations such as 'Hisar Roadies' and 'Hamara Pyar Hisar' extended wholehearted support to make the marathon a success, utilizing the run to convey a message of environmental conservation and better health to the general public.
During the event, a free medical and health check-up camp was also set up by Dr. Sandeep Kalyana's medical team, where participants and citizens underwent health screenings. Both before and after the race, all participants thoroughly enjoyed aerobics and Zumba dance sessions, which infused the entire atmosphere with energy.
Honoring the Winners and Expressing Gratitude
Dr. Narsi Ram Bishnoi attended the marathon's closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. He honored the winning runners who secured top positions in the race by presenting them with medals and extended his best wishes for their bright future. Mr. Pawan Kumar, Director of Akashvani Hisar, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the chief guests, partner organizations, and all participants for gracing the occasion. During this grand event, all presenters and staff members of the center—including Sunita Rani and Deepak Hooda—were prominently present.
