Chandigarh, October 26- Haryana Governor Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh reached the house of recently departed soul ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather in Julana and met the grieving family. The Governor consoled Sandeep Kumar Lather's mother Smt. Indravati, wife Smt. Santosh, son Vihan, daughter Rupak and other family members and appealed to maintain patience in this hour of grief.
On this occasion, the Governor also asked for financial assistance of Rs. 2.5 lakh for the education of the children of the deceased. He said that as the head of the state, he has also been personally hurt by the demise of the departed soul Sandeep, because officers like Sandeep are symbols of the spirit of service to the state.
The Governor said that with the demise of Sandeep Kumar Lather, the society has lost a hardworking, honest and dedicated person. The police department also has a gap that will never be filled with his departure. He prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this grief.
His wife Smt. Mitra Ghosh was also present with the Governor on this occasion.
