Chandigarh, October 16 - Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the state government is providing additional facilities for the treatment of its employees/pensioners and their dependents. Apart from government hospitals, many private hospitals have also been empanelled so that they can get treatment in the nearest hospital as per their convenience. On the demand of the employees, the state government has also empanelled many private AYUSH hospitals. Taking steps in this direction, the department has empanelled two more AYUSH hospitals, due to which the number has increased to about a dozen now.
The Health Minister said that the government has empaneled AYUSH Hospital Sanskaram Hospital and Trauma Center in Jhajjar district, Kheri taluka, Patouda and Vedamrita Health Care Private Limited located in Barwala of Hisar district. Haryana government employees and pensioners and their dependents will now be able to get treatment in these private AYUSH hospitals as well. They will be able to get medical bills passed from these hospitals after getting the patients identified by the government examined and treated.
The spokesperson of Haryana AYUSH Directorate further informed that a nodal officer will be appointed at the level of these empaneled private AYUSH hospitals. The nodal officer will contact the AYUSH Department in case of any complaint.
While giving information about the conditions of empanelled hospitals, he said that in case of any emergency/disaster/overcrowding of patients in government hospitals, empanelled hospitals will agree to share their ambulances, ICU, burn unit, ward beds etc. as per the requirement. He further informed that all statutory rules/guidelines/acts/notifications issued by the state government from time to time will be followed by empanelled private Ayush hospitals. The NABH accredited Ayurvedic hospital will remain empanelled for a period of three years subject to the validity of the accreditation certificate. After this, the hospital will have to be registered afresh.
