Haroli/Una, August 1 (Rajveer Chopra): A freshers' party was enthusiastically organized by the students of Government College, Haroli, to welcome the newly admitted students. The event aimed to extend a warm welcome to the newcomers into the college family and familiarize them with the institution's academic and cultural environment.
The program commenced with an inspiring address and words of wisdom from the college Principal, Dr. Rajendra Kumar. While welcoming the new students, he encouraged them to focus not only on academics but also on personality development, discipline, and active participation in co-curricular activities.
During the party, the newcomers showcased their talents through songs, music, dance, and various cultural performances. Senior students also delivered captivating performances, maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy throughout the event. 'Miss Fresher' and 'Mr. Fresher' titles were also awarded to students from various streams. The 'Fresher' honors were conferred upon Shubneet Mann (MA), Nancy (BBA), Heena (PGDCA), Ishan Malik and Simranpreet Kaur (B.Sc.), Suman, Shaurya, Ashpreet, and Sejal (B.A. 1st Year), Vaishali (BCA), and Karan and Aarti (B.Com.).
The event also featured entertaining games, music, refreshments, and various surprise activities, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
The program concluded with Prof. Captain Sonika Saini extending her best wishes for the bright future of all the students.
