Fraudulent immigration company duped people from Karnataka of Rs 55 lakh.

SAS Nagar, May 13- Fraudulent cases by fake immigration companies in the name of sending people abroad are constantly coming to light, and one such case has come to light in which a fraudulent immigration company duped 23 people from Karnataka and duped them of Rs 55 lakh.
In this regard, Satnam Singh Daun, President of Punjab Against Corruption Organization, during a press conference held with the victims, said that a company named Migrant Expert Solution is operating in a mall located in Sector 67 on Airport Road. This company, through advertisements at rotary level, traps people living in far-flung areas and calls them to Mohali and dupes them.
A victim from Karnataka, Dore Naik, who was present on the spot, said that he had submitted files of 23 people from his village to these agents to go abroad. In return, these immigration agents provided them with fake offer letters and visas. When they came to know about this, they contacted the company, and the company agreed to refund their amount and also gave them cheques. However, those cheques could not be cleared, and their money got stuck. They had filed a police complaint, but no action was taken in the matter. The complainant said that now when he goes to the police, he is threatened that he himself will be made an agent, and a case will be filed against him and he will be sent to jail.
They said that now they do not even have money to eat food and they are wandering here. They have not gone to their village for the last three months because the people whose files they had submitted to the company have now turned against them. The complainant said that they even mortgaged their wife's jewellery and gave money to the company so that they could somehow get their visas. But the company grabbed all the money and cheated them.
In this regard, the investigating officer, Inspector Yogesh Kumar, said that Dore Naik's complaint is with them, and it is being investigated. He said that the complainant has mentioned 23 persons in the complaint but has not provided their details, and he has been asked for the details of the victims so that the investigation can be taken forward.
