Chandigarh:- The monthly meeting of the organization of former teachers of U.T. was held at Saini Bhawan, Sector 24, Chandigarh, under the chairmanship of the institution’s president, Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal. In this meeting, the difficulties faced by former U.T. teachers and pending demands were discussed very seriously.
Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal explained in detail about the pending pay-revision arrears of teachers who retired before 1-1-2016. Those who expressed views on this subject included former Deputy Director Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma, former D.E.O. Shri Brahmjeet Kalia, former Sports Officer Jeet Singh Somal, former Principal Shri Jagdish Kumar Jaiswal, Madam Bikramjit Kaur, Madam Harbans Kaur, and Shri Gyan Chand.
Sh. Jeet Singh Somal, while speaking in detail on the long-pending demands of former U.T. teachers, cautioned the Chandigarh Administration for their early fulfillment. Shri Brahmjeet Kalia, former D.E.O., expressed regret that the pay-fixations of several senior U.T. officers have not been done till date, which has angered all teachers. He appealed to the Education Department that no such case should remain pending.
The special feature of today’s meeting was that the organization of former U.T. teachers collectively dedicated to the public Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal’s new children’s book “Aao Bachio! Kavitaavan Gaaiye.” Speaking on the book, Madam Bikramjit Kaur praised the books written by Bahadur Singh Gosal and said that children and teachers should read this book in maximum numbers so that children can gain abundant educational knowledge. Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma, Jagdish Jaiswal, and Gyan Chand ji congratulated Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal for the new book.
