Patiala 23rd January:- The protest march organized by the Punjab Forest Workers Union for their pending salaries and other demands entered its fourth day today. Today, despite the bad weather, heavy rain and bitter cold, the forest workers remained steadfast in their protest, due to which the authorities took some action from yesterday and started releasing their arrears. The forest workers said in a warning tone that they will march to the place where the Republic Day will be celebrated by the administration and the Punjab government ministers on March 26th and bring their issues to their attention. In the protest organized by the forest workers in bad weather since this morning, a large number of forest workers belonging to different ranges under the leadership of Jaswinder Singh Soja, Jagtar Shahpur raised strong slogans in the DFO office and raised their voices for their demands. The protest was also fully supported by fraternal organizations.
In today's struggle, the leader of the joint front of public organizations, Darshan Belu Majra, PWD Field and Workshop Workers Union leaders Rajpal Lasoi, Dharampal Lot and Rajinder Dhaliwal Vipan Kumar Jaspal Patiala from Punjab Subordinate Services Federation joined and said that they will participate in this protest march with a large number of their colleagues on January 26 and will take this fight to victory.
