Nawanshahr, October 21- The meeting of Navjot Sahitya Sanstha (Regd.) Aur was held here at the residence of Hari Krishna Patwari, Finance Secretary of the organization located in Vikas Nagar. The meeting was presided over by Surjit Mazari, President of the organization. During the meeting, five personalities were selected for the Navjot 'Award-2025' to be given on the occasion of the annual Foundation Day this year.
These included personalities from various fields dedicated to literary consciousness and social thought. These include renowned journalist/columnist Satnam Singh Manak, literary personality Dr. Kulwant Kaur Patiala, eminent poet Malkit Singh Aujla, social worker Kirpal Singh Blockipur and Ghazalgo Jaswinder Phagwara.
The date of Foundation Day was fixed as November 23. The event will be presided over by the founder of the organization, renowned Ghazalgo Mr. Gurdial Roshan, while Dr. Kulwinder Singh Dhahan, President, Guru Nanak Mission Medical and Educational Trust Dhahan Kalera will be the chief guest. On this occasion, a souvenir 'Navjot' was also released, shedding light on the annual activities of the organization and providing information about its 44-year history. On this occasion, former presidents of the organization Gurnek Sher, Neeru Jassal, Dr. Kewal Ram, Surinder Bharti, Sucha Ram Jadla, Hari Krishna Patwari, Harminder Harry also shared their works.
