Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 23:- Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma said that the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Punjab has sought online applications from farmers to provide subsidy on agricultural machinery used for stubble management.
He said that farmers can submit their applications on the department’s online portal agrimachinerypb.com
till August 3, 2026. Under this, applications can be made for stubble management related machines like Super SMS, Happy Seeder, Zero Till Drill, Paddy Straw Chopper/Shredder/Mulcher, Smart Seeder, Super Seeder, Baler/Rake, Multi-Crop Super Seeder and Reversible Plough etc.
The Chief Agriculture Officer said that farmers registered with the Mandi Board can apply by visiting this portal and logging in through their Aadhaar card.
He said that after receiving the applications, eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of district-wise targets and different categories as per the guidelines of the scheme. The approval letter for purchasing machinery will be sent to the eligible applicants on their mobile phones. After this, the farmers will be able to purchase the relevant machinery from any approved machine manufacturer/supplier registered on the portal.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma appealed to the farmers to take advantage of this subsidy scheme by submitting online applications within the stipulated time. He said that in case of any kind of problem regarding submitting the application or using the portal, the farmers can contact their nearest Agriculture Department office.
