Nawanshahr - Local social service organization Upkar Coordination Society organized its special review meeting at “Giran Bhawan” located in Guru Nanak Nagar. The meeting was chaired by President JS Gidda. While the meeting was conducted by General Secretary Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara and Secretary Des Raj Bali.
Cashier Birbal Takhi shared information about the receipt of flood relief funds and the cash assistance of three lakh rupees to the needy in the flood-affected areas. He shared information about the donation details received from the house and the voucher-wise payments made to the needy. He said that information was shared about help to needy students, help for crop damage, help for house damage and help for the marriage of a daughter who was not a father.
The House unanimously appreciated the financial transparency system adopted by the House. The President informed the House that the offers to contribute to the flood relief fund from the country and the state are encouraging. This shows that the teachings of the welfare of all by Gurus, Pirs, Fakirs have been enshrined in our heritage. Soon the Flood Relief Committee will hold a meeting regarding the help to be provided and share the proposal.
The meeting thanked the teacher leaders and social workers of Sri Amritsar district for the support and leadership given to the Society. JS Gidda, Surjit Kaur Dulku, Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara, Des Raj Bali, Birbal Takhi, Dr. Avtar Singh Denowal Kalan, Principal Bikramjit Singh, Madam Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Madam Sukhwinder Kaur Sukhi and Paramjit Singh were present in the meeting.
