Una, October 1 - The work of preparing the electoral roll for the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee elections will be done by October 31, 2024. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that eligible voters can get themselves registered for the election of the members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Board. He said that as per the schedule received from the Director Panchayati Raj and Commissioner Gurdwara Elections Himachal Pradesh, the preliminary publication of the handwritten manual will be done from November 1 to November 20 and its printing and maintenance. He said that the preliminary publication of the manual will be done by the Deputy Commissioner on November 21. Claims and objections related to the name, post and address published in the preliminary publication list or in the case of an employee, his post and address can be made by submitting it before the concerned revision authority from November 21 to December 11. All claims and objections received under Rule 10 (3) of the Sikh Gurdwara Board Election Rules, 1959 will be settled from December 11 to December 18, 2024. Apart from this, from December 19, 2024 to January 1, 2025, the abbreviated lists will be prepared for printing and the final publication of the voter lists will be done on January 2, 2025.
District Election Officer Jatin Lal has appealed to the eligible voters of the district to get themselves registered for the SGPC elections by October 31.
