Mamdot/Ferozepur, 26 August:- Alleging that a fellow employee was not being relieved to perform census-related duty, electricity employees held a protest dharna against the S.D.O. at Sub-Division Mamdot. During this, the employees expressed their resentment by raising slogans against the departmental officer.
The protesting employees said that a census-related duty of an electricity employee was assigned by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ferozepur, but he is not being relieved to perform the duty. Due to this, there is resentment among the employees.
The employees alleged that earlier also the said fellow employee was not given permission to go for hockey practice. They said that along with departmental duty, the employee should be given necessary relieving to also perform the officially assigned census duty.
The electricity employees demanded that the matter be resolved immediately and the employee assigned to census duty be relieved. They warned that if the issue is not resolved, they will be forced to intensify the struggle.
