Sirsa: A conference of trade representatives was held at a private hotel. The chief guest was Bajrang Garg, Provincial President of the Haryana Pradesh Vyapar Mandal and former Chairman of Haryana Confed. The program was chaired by Hiralal Sharma, State General Secretary and District President of the Vyapar Mandal. Trade representatives from all trades participated in large numbers. Addressing the delegates and press conference, Bajrang Garg, Provincial President of the Vyapar Mandal, stated that due to the government's faulty policies, trade and industry in Haryana are continuously lagging behind.
Due to government negligence, approximately 70 percent of small and medium industries in the state have closed down. Previously, thousands of small and medium industries, such as handlooms, snacks, bakeries, coolers, fans, beds, laundry, soap, detergent, and pulse mills, existed at the village level. These industries provided employment to millions of women and youth at the village level. However, due to the government's lack of any concessions to small industries, trade and industry are lagging behind. The government should provide affordable electricity and land to promote industry.
Bajrang Garg stated that due to rising unemployment in Haryana, crime and drug trafficking are on the rise. Criminals are openly committing robberies, murders, and extortions every day. Criminals in Haryana operate their gangs from prison and abroad. Traders, industrialists, and the general public in Haryana are deeply fearful for the safety of their lives and property. The government should take concrete steps to ensure that criminals are dealt with relentlessly, so that no criminal dares to commit crimes in the state.
Bajrang Garg stated that government officials are harassing traders illegally under the pretext of encroachment. Government officials should not harass traders for their own selfish interests. Government officials should work with traders and focus on the development of the city.
