Chandigarh, March 1:- Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana said that just as flats are being built due to increasing population, similarly there is a need to use technology in agriculture. The scope of land on earth is limited. As families are increasing, land is decreasing. Farmers will have to understand how to save their land. There is a need to adopt natural farming and low-water crops.
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana was addressing as the chief guest on the occasion of the conclusion of the two-day state-level agricultural development fair organized by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (Hisar) at the grain market in Ladwa on Sunday. Minister Shyam Singh Rana inspected the fair complex and exhibition. Hisar University Vice Chancellor Prof. B.R. Kamboj honored him with a memento and a bouquet of flowers. He took out a slip from the drum under the draw scheme, in which on the second day, Sandeep, a resident of village Madi in Panipat, got a DRS machine for direct sowing of paddy. The farmers were honored by giving tractors, DRS machines and rotavators in the draw of the first day from the stage.
Minister Shyam Singh Rana said that since ancient times there is a saying "Uttam Kheti Madhyam Vyapar". This means that from the beginning, agriculture has been considered the best. The country whose agriculture is excellent, that country will progress accordingly. He said that the land of our country is the most level, where the maximum grain is produced in the country and it is possible to produce all kinds of crops. Our elders have been producing all kinds of crops since the beginning.
The Agriculture Minister said that today our country has got the leadership of farmer-friendly and experienced Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister thinks about traders and farmers because he is connected to the land. Our state government is also implementing the same schemes for farmers. He said that the Prime Minister has set the goal of making the country a 'developed India' by the year 2047, keeping in mind which plans are being prepared to take the country forward. The aim of these is to increase the real income of farmers by 4 times.
Minister Shyam Singh Rana said that to make farmers developed, Haryana is the first state in the country which started buying crops at MSP. After this, MSP was also fixed on honey and horticultural crops. The difference in the price received by farmers in the market is being met through the 'Bhavantar Bharpay Yojana'. He said that now farmers' conferences are being organized at various places.
**In the Congress rule, money used to go to someone else's account instead of the farmer
Taking aim at the Congress party, he said that the previous governments did not pay any attention to agriculture. They sat in offices and made such schemes for farmers which had no connection with the fields, due to which our farmers kept lagging behind. The result of this was that today's youth prefers to do jobs instead of farming, considering agriculture as a loss-making business. He said that when the Congress did not have any issue, they used to ask repeatedly why the farmer's income had not doubled, but when our government asked how much the farmer's income was earlier, they had no answer.
He further said that during the Congress rule, the farmer used to sell the crop in the market but the money went to someone else's account. When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he gave the slogan "Whose crop is his money" and started sending money directly to the farmers' accounts. In Haryana, the money reaches the account within 48 hours of the crop being sold. Similarly, farmers have been benefited by implementing schemes like 'Meri Fasal Mera Biora' and 'Jis Di Zamin Us Di Khad'.

The Agriculture Minister honoured progressive farmers of various districts, including Indira Devi (Palwal), Rekha (Adampur), Muni Bai (Bhiwani), Sarita, Manchanal Rani (Mewat), Saroj, Manisha (Jhajjar), Sheela Devi (Rewari), Ilam Singh (Karnal), Beant Singh (Yamunanagar), Yoginder Kumar (Mahindergarh), Subhash Chand, Pradeep Kumar (Kaithal), Jaib (Panchkula), Seshan Kumar (Sonipat), Prem Pal Singh (Kurukshetra), Arvinder Singh (Ambala), Neeraj (Rohtak), Surinder Kumar (Sirsa), Manish Pal (Mewat) and Sandeep (Jhajjar).
**Agriculture Development Fair will be held every year-Prof. B.R. Kamboj
Chowdhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University Hisar Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. B.R. Kamboj said that no one has the right to tamper with nature. It is our responsibility to save water, land and environment in nature for the coming generations. Extension Education Director Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav welcomed all the guests from the stage.
