Chandigarh, March 29:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that today we are standing in such an era, where the aware public is seeing everything, understanding everything and taking decisions based on their experience. The people of Punjab first gave a chance to the Congress and then to the Aam Aadmi Party. They made big promises, but today every section of Punjab is asking where those promises went and where is the change that was talked about.
The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering of people in Kurali, Punjab on Sunday. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party calls itself a symbol of honesty. But under their rule, today drugs, crime, anarchy, financial crisis and deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab are not hidden from anyone. On the contrary, BJP is a party which is working with 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas' under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister said that how long will politics be carried on with the help of lies, when the wind of truth comes, the picture will change. Punjab today needs such a double-engine government which not only makes promises, but also has the ability to fulfill them. It needs such a leadership which is not afraid of taking decisions, which keeps the interest of the people above all and works in the interest of the country.
He said that now once give a chance to the Bharatiya Janata Party too. We assure you that we will live up to the trust of the people and take Punjab to new heights of development. He said that the upcoming election is going to change the future of Punjab. This is the election of the future of your children and the election of business and employment opportunities along with the prosperity of every farm and village.
The Chief Minister said that each and every vote of yours will form the basis of this change. The support of the people will strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party and a strong double-engine BJP government will give a new direction to Punjab. He said that BJP has a clear policy, intention and a sense of dedication towards development. By implementing the same model in Punjab too, we will make Punjab prosperous, safe and progressive again.
The Chief Minister said that the work done by our double-engine government in Haryana in the last 11 years is a story of positive changes in the life of the common man. The government provided transparent governance and reached the benefits of schemes to every person without any discrimination. By abolishing the system of 'slip and expenditure', we have given jobs to about 2 lakh youth on the basis of merit. The youth of Haryana proudly says that he is getting the fruits of his hard work.
Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that 'Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana' has been started in Haryana to provide economic and social security to the sisters and daughters. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2100 is being given. Till now, Rs 834 crore has been given to 9 lakh 56 thousand sisters and daughters. But the Punjab government has not provided money to women as per the election promise. Even after the passage of more than four years, the government is not taking care of women.
The Chief Minister said that in Haryana, poor women are being given gas cylinders for just Rs 500 every month to run their kitchens. Under this, a total amount of Rs 243 crore has been deposited in the bank accounts of about 14 lakh 38 thousand eligible sisters of the state. Similarly, the interest of farmers is at the center of our policies. In Haryana, all 24 crops of farmers are being purchased at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Till now, Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand crore of crop purchase has been deposited in the accounts of 12 lakh farmers.
He said that in Haryana, in the last 11 years, farmers have been given compensation and Rs 16,160 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana so far. Apart from this, under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana', an amount of Rs 7,562 crore has been deposited in the bank accounts of about 20 lakh 18 thousand farmers in 22 installments.
The Chief Minister said that for stubble management, crop residue management machines are provided to farmers at a 50 percent subsidy. So far, 1 lakh 10 thousand 767 machines have been provided to farmers on subsidy. 'Bhavantar Bharpayi Yojana' has been launched to help farmers get rid of the problem of uncertainty in market prices.
21 horticultural fruits, vegetables and spices have been included in this scheme. These include 14 vegetables, 2 spices and 5 fruits. Under this scheme, so far, an incentive of Rs 177 crore has been given directly to 38,334 farmers in their bank accounts.
