Chandigarh:- The book 'Mahendra Singh Randhawa' written by Dr. Ravidit Singh was launched by his daughter Asha and Punjabi industry's leading artist and singer Satinder Sartaj at his residence in Chandigarh. This book has collected all the works of Mahendra Singh Randhawa through a research. Dr. Randhawa was the first Chief Commissioner of Delhi in independent India who had arranged the speech given by the Prime Minister of independent India Jawaharlal Nehru from the Red Fort under his supervision. He also worked to promote the Green Revolution and dairy farms. Whether it was an exhibition of Sobha Singh's paintings or helping a writer like Amrita Pritam, then the only name was Mahendra Singh Randhawa.
Apart from being the first Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab, he also made the city beautiful by planting 100 types of roses and beautiful plants like Amaltas to give it a beautiful look. MS Randhawa was also the creator of the art galleries that we see today. His contribution in collecting and preserving the folk songs of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal is famous. A personality who worked on agriculture, art, folk songs, paintings, science, administration, history, library, how can one person do so much work? Dr. Ravidit thanked Randhawa Sahib's daughter and her family. He also thanked Satinder Sartaj who was present on the occasion. Satinder Sartaj himself is a fan of Dr. Randhawa.
