Hoshiarpur: Dr. Raman Ghai, Secretary of the District Cricket Association Hoshiarpur and President of the Youth Citizen Council Punjab, was specially honored by Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, the chief guest at the state-level function held in Hoshiarpur on Republic Day, for his invaluable and unparalleled contribution to eradicating drug abuse by working with young players, the corporate sector, and administrative officers under the "War Against Drugs" campaign launched by the Punjab government.
Giving information in this regard, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, District President of the Youth Citizen Council, thanked the Punjab government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and said that under the leadership of Dr. Raman Ghai, the Youth Citizen Council is contributing to making Punjab drug-free by creating awareness among the youth against drug abuse in Hoshiarpur as well as in other districts of Punjab.
Dr. Sharma said that Dr. Raman Ghai, as the Secretary of HDCA, is instilling a sense of movement against drug abuse among the players. The message being given to society and the youth about staying away from drugs and the social, physical, and national harm caused by them is inspiring all the players and council workers to join this campaign against drug abuse as a people's movement.
Dr. Pankaj Sharma thanked HDCA Secretary and State President of the Council, Dr. Raman Ghai, for being honored for his contribution to the "War Against Drugs" campaign. He said that the "War Against Drugs" campaign will be conducted more effectively in the future to create greater awareness among the people.
