Nawanshahr:- Dr. Nachhattar Pal, MLA Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahr) today said in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha that under the Punjab Reservation Act 2006, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Divyang, Ex-Servicemen, Sportspersons and Economically Weaker Sections should also get proper representation in Adhog, Contractual, Daily Wage, Temporary, Work Charged and Outsourced recruitment.
He said that the employees of Punjab have been struggling for their rightful demands for a long time. The issue arising from the Supreme Court’s decision on 16% DA, old pension scheme and the employment of about 50 thousand teachers should also be considered legally.
He also demanded that the employees of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan be regularized. Along with this, Mid Day Meal Workers, ASHA Workers, Anganwadi Workers, Helpers, ANM, GNM, Pharmacists, Safai Karamchari, Drivers, Conductors and raw and outsourced employees should be given appropriate salary under Equal Work Equal Pay as per their qualifications.
He said that the government should look into all these issues seriously and resolve them quickly so that the employees can get their rights.
