Chandigarh, April 10:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini today directly transferred an amount of Rs 1665 crore 25 lakh through DBT to the accounts of beneficiaries under various social security schemes. This includes 'Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi' scheme, 15 types of social security pension schemes, Dayalu scheme and tractor subsidy to Scheduled Caste farmers.
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini while addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas said that as per the concept of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the double engine government is continuously working for women empowerment and their economic development. During this, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi was also present.
He said that the sixth installment of 'Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi' scheme has been released today. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 203 crore 28 lakh has been deposited in the accounts of 9 lakh 68 thousand beneficiary women. By adding this, an amount of Rs 1,038 crore 5 lakh has been released in 6 installments so far. He said that a provision of Rs 6 thousand 500 crore has also been made in the budget for Lado Lakshmi Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that under 15 types of social security pension schemes, an amount of Rs 1144 crore 55 lakh has been directly deposited in the accounts of 35 lakh 55 thousand 187 beneficiaries. These include old age allowance, disability allowance and other social security pensions.
Targeting the opposition, he said that during the Congress period, pension was not paid for 6-6 months and 1-1 year and even if it was paid, there was corruption in it. But our government has changed the system and adopted a 'pro-active model'. Under this, eligibility is automatically determined on the basis of the family identity card database and eligible citizens are getting the benefits of allowances sitting at home without visiting offices and without applying. This payment being made through Direct Benefit Transfer is a symbol of our unwavering commitment to transparency and good governance, which is ensuring that the state's assistance reaches every needy person on time.
He said that today, financial assistance of Rs. 298 crore 7 lakh has been provided to 7 thousand 875 families under the Dayalu scheme. So far, financial assistance of Rs. 2 thousand 118 crore 23 lakh has been provided to 56 thousand 223 families under this scheme. Including the assistance released today, a total of Rs. 2 thousand 416 crore 30 lakh has been released to 64 thousand 98 families.
Apart from this, tractor subsidy has also been provided to farmers belonging to the Scheduled Caste category. Under this, a subsidy of Rs 19 crore 35 lakh has been released to 645 Scheduled Caste farmers to purchase tractors. Every eligible farmer is given a subsidy of Rs 3 lakh on the purchase of a tractor.
Families will get assistance and jobs in the case of death of 2 fire personnel in Faridabad
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has decided to release an amount of Rs 30 lakh per family as immediate relief in the tragic accident that occurred while on duty of two fire personnel working under HKRN in Faridabad. Rs 10 lakh per family is being released through Haryana Family Security Trust and Rs 20 lakh per family from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Apart from this, a member of their family will also be given a job under HKRN. He said that the government is also trying to provide financial assistance to the affected families as additional insurance.
