Karnal, December 12: A general meeting of the District Council was held on Friday in the District Council's conference hall. The meeting was chaired by District Council Chairperson Pravesh Kumari. A total of 10 agenda items were discussed in the meeting, out of which 8 issues were approved and 2 issues were rejected.
The meeting was attended by Indri MLA and Government Chief Whip Ramkumar Kashyap, Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, Assandh MLA Yogendra Rana, and District Council Chief Executive Officer Dr. Pankaj, along with councilors and officers from the concerned departments.
CEO Dr. Pankaj IAS welcomed all the MLAs and public representatives present at the meeting. He urged all the councilors and officers to work together in mutual cooperation. He said that councilors approach the officers with the public's work, and these tasks should not be kept pending for a long time, but should be completed on a priority basis, according to rules and within the stipulated time frame.

**Issues Discussed in the Meeting**
In the meeting, approval was given to send a request to the government for the necessary funds in the budget for the expenses of the District Council for the financial year 2026-27. Out of the 224 works approved in the previous meeting, approval was given for 194 development works after their physical and administrative approval was issued.
Along with this, the proposals given by the councilors of District Council wards number 2, 10, and 16 were approved. In the meeting, approval was given for issuing a circular for the annual repair of District Council roads and for administrative approval.
Along with this, all the councilors agreed to the confirmation of the proceedings of the previous meeting. Important issues related to rural development and development works were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
