Indore:- A terrible disease of vomiting and diarrhea has spread in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh due to drinking contaminated water, due to which 6 people have died so far and more than 200 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
According to Collector Shivam Verma, 203 patients are admitted in 41 hospitals of the city, out of which 34 are in ICU due to their serious condition. However, local residents and the mayor have expressed fear that the death toll may be much higher, due to which an atmosphere of panic has prevailed in the area.
In view of this serious negligence, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken strict action and transferred Indore Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav and suspended two other senior officials with immediate effect.
The government, while submitting a status report in the High Court, has assured that the disease spread in the Bhagirathpura area has now been effectively controlled and water supply is being continuously monitored to prevent such an incident from happening again.
