Hoshiarpur: "Our villages must have basic amenities and public facilities that cater to the daily needs of the people. Development must reach every village, and it should align with the actual needs of the residents," stated Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar during a meeting held at the BDPO office in Hoshiarpur. DDPO Sandeep Singh, BDPO Mahilpur Kanwaljit Singh, and BDPO Hoshiarpur-2 Palvinder Singh also attended the meeting.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar held a detailed meeting with BDPO officials, village Sarpanchs, Panchs, and other representatives regarding the ?5 crore grant being released for various development works in the villages of the Chabbewal Assembly constituency.
Dr. Ishank Kumar stated that the grant would be utilized for development projects based on the specific needs and priorities of the various villages. Under this initiative, works related to streets, drains and sewerage systems, stadiums, sports grounds, *Dharamshalas* (community rest houses), community halls, parks, swings, open gyms, gym equipment, boundary walls for ponds, culverts, drinking water tubewells, and other essential public infrastructure will be undertaken. Additionally, focus will be placed on developing other community amenities for the residents.
During the meeting, there was a detailed discussion regarding the development works to be carried out in the various villages. Emphasis was placed on prioritizing projects that would directly benefit the people while ensuring the effective use of available funds. MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar stated that strengthening village infrastructure is one of his top priorities. Projects such as parks, community halls, open gyms, and sports facilities can play a crucial role in improving the standard of living and amenities for the villagers. He also urged the concerned departments to work in coordination and ensure the timely completion of the development projects. He stated that this grant of ?5 crore is crucial for the ongoing and proposed development works in the villages of the Chabbewal constituency. He added that the development process in the constituency would be continuously advanced by prioritizing the needs of the people.
On this occasion, Dr. Ishank Kumar reiterated his commitment to serving the people of the Chabbewal constituency, stating that he would continue to serve them with utmost hard work, dedication, and honesty.
