Chandigarh, July 07:- A meeting of the High Empowered Procurement Committee and the High Powered Works Purchase Committee was held at the Haryana Niwas in Chandigarh late on Monday evening under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini. In the meeting, proposals for procurement and development works related to various departments worth a total of more than Rs 340 crore were approved. Also, savings of about Rs 15.11 crore were ensured by re-fixing the rates after detailed negotiations with various bidders.
Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, a total of 10 agendas were placed before the High Powered Works Purchase Committee, the total value of which was Rs. 259.20 crore. After one of these matters was postponed, the total value of the remaining 9 agenda proposals was Rs. 225.76 crore. After successful negotiations with various bidders, the value of these proposals was fixed at Rs. 217.68 crore, which resulted in a saving of Rs. 8.08 crore. Similarly, in the meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee, a total of 5 agendas were placed, the total value of which was Rs. 158 crore. After one of these agendas was withdrawn, the total value of the remaining 4 proposals was Rs. 130.19 crore. After the negotiations, the revised value of these proposals was fixed at Rs. 123.16 crore, which ensured a saving of Rs. 7.03 crore. Thus, the total value of the proposals approved in both the committees was Rs. 355.95 crore, which was finalized at Rs. 340.84 crore after negotiations and a total saving of Rs. 15.11 crore was made.
Approval of development and procurement works of various departments
The meeting approved the rate contract for supply of 11 KV Pilfer Resistant Metering Cubicles for Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. The rate contract for purchase of 11 KV VCB Panel, Income and Outgoing Panel, Capacitor Control Panel and Sub-Station Transformer Panels for Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam was approved. The purchase of equipment required for the laboratory to be operated on PPP mode by Haryana Dairy Vikas Sahakari Prasangh Limited under the NPDD Scheme of the Central Government was also approved.
Apart from this, the construction of Master Road and Service Road between Sector-78 and 80 of Gurugram was approved under Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. In Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, the works related to setting up six micro sewage treatment plants for green belts and parks of Sector-9, 10, 14, 15, 15A, 16, 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35 and 37, construction of related infrastructure and operation and maintenance were approved. Under Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority, laying of sewer lines and construction of manholes in Kundli, construction of storm water drainage system and drains in Kharkhoda, G.T. Widening and strengthening of 65 meter wide road from Road to Diwan Farm and construction of 7.50 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant and Main Pumping Station in Kundli were approved.
In the same series, under Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority, construction of 20 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant and 50 MLD capacity Main Pumping Station for Panchkula Industrial Area Phase-1 and Phase-2, strengthening of existing 67.5 MLD capacity Main Pumping Station, expansion of 15 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant to 30 MLD capacity and construction of 10 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant and Main Pumping Station in Sector-29 of Pinjore-Kalka Urban Complex were approved.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that the supply of materials should be ensured as per the quality standards and within the stipulated time frame.
The meeting was also attended by senior officers of various departments including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Advisor on Urban Development Mr. D. S. Dhesi.
