Hoshiarpur:- The Punjab government launched the district-level admission campaign today at School of Eminence Garhshankar with the aim of increasing the admissions of students in government schools and providing quality education. On this occasion, Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Shri Jai Krishan Singh Raudi flagged off the admission van, which will go to various villages and urban areas of the district and make parents and students aware about the facilities of government schools.
Addressing the event, Deputy Speaker Raudi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is giving the highest priority to education. He said that the infrastructure of government schools has been strengthened, classrooms have been equipped with modern technology and special training programs are being run to enhance the qualifications of teachers. Institutions like School of Eminence are giving a new direction to the future of children.
He appealed to the parents to enroll their children in government schools instead of private schools, where uniforms, books, mid-day meals and modern facilities are available along with free education. He said that government schools are no less than any other and children studying here are making their name in the country and abroad.
On this occasion, district officials of the education department gave information about the objectives of the admission campaign and said that this campaign will be run for the next several days. The admission van will be used to go to every village and ward and inform the people about the admission process, school facilities and new schemes of the government.
The school management also put up an exhibition of the development works being done in government schools, through which the parents were informed about the teaching model of the School of Eminence, laboratories, playgrounds and other facilities.
Finally, Deputy Speaker Raudi praised the team of the education department and said that such campaigns will further strengthen the trust of the people in government schools and there will be a historic increase in admissions in the coming times.
On this occasion, District Education Officer (Elementary) Hoshiarpur Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Principal Mrs. Seema Rani, Principal Mr. Kirpal Singh, Mr. Gurdev Singh Dhillon (BNO Garhshankar-1), Mr. Jasvir Singh (BNO Garhshankar-2), BRC Narinder Pal, Kamaljit Singh, CHT, HT teachers and teachers of Block Garhshankar-1 and 2 were present.
