Patiala:- Regarding the incident of beating up and vandalizing religious idols that took place a few days ago in Gopal Colony near Sanauri Ada, a memorandum was submitted to the name of SSP Patiala along with the victim families under the leadership of **Bhartiya Valmiki Dharam Samaj** National Advisor **Veer Prem Khoda**.
The memorandum alleged that some youths allegedly beat up a poor Dalit and Hindu family with weapons, seriously injured them and damaged the idols of Shri Khatu Shyam and Bhagwan Valmiki installed in the house, hurting religious sentiments.
Veer Prem Khoda strongly condemned the incident and said that the alleged culprits, with the intention of disturbing the law and order situation, entered the house of the minority Hindu and Valmiki community and attacked them and vandalized the idols installed in the place of worship.
He also alleged that the victim family is allegedly held in enmity because they belong to the Scheduled Caste and insulting words are spoken about religion and caste. When they protested, the alleged culprits gathered and entered the house and beat up the family members, in which a pregnant girl was also injured.
The Bharatiya Valmiki Dharam Samaj demanded from the administration that strict legal action should be taken against the alleged culprits after conducting a fair investigation into the matter and justice and security should be provided to the victim family.
On this occasion **Rajinder Vaid, Rahul Badungar, Deepak Kumar Valmiki, Varun, Lakshay, Mukaddar, Danny, Lakshmi, Kajal, Lakshmi Devi, Sanjana, Chhote Lal, Ansu** along with the members of the victim's family were also present at the SSP office.
