Chandigarh- A delegation of Chandigarh Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab met the Governor of Punjab, Hon'ble Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria today. The delegation was led by BSP State President Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri. The delegation included BSP State Coordinator and MLA Nawanshahr Dr. Nachhattar Pal, State Coordinator Sardar Prajapat Ajit Singh Bhaini, State Coordinator Tirath Singh Mehra, Rajpura State Coordinator Chaudhary Gurnam Singh and State General Secretary Advocate Balwinder Kumar.
On this occasion, the BSP leaders demanded an impartial high-level inquiry into the death of ADGP Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar from the Honorable Governor and justice for the victim's family. Along with this, he also brought to the notice of the Honorable Governor that the cases of atrocities against the Scheduled Castes are happening not only in Haryana but also in Punjab at that level.
He said that the case of the death of the IPS officer has re-raised the cases of these atrocities. Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the people, especially among such a section. And they are not going to tolerate them. He said that in Punjab, the ruling party and the administration in the AAP government are committing atrocities on a large scale against the common people and even against such a section.
And such cases are coming to light in every district of the state. Das Bhagoan said that in village Basoi Kalan of Patiala, people of such a section had bid for 35 acres of Panchayat land reserved for SCs. For this, they had also deposited about eleven and a half lakhs with the Panchayat Department. But the money was also collected from them and till date they have not even been given possession of the Panchayat land.
Apart from this, they were also attacked by their rival land mafia and in this case too they did not get any justice. Apart from this, two sarpanches of SC category were also attacked in Hoshiarpur district. But in these cases too, due to the influence of the ruling party, no strict action was taken. Apart from this, people of such category are also being framed in false cases and they are being illegally sent to jail.
Similarly, in Jalandhar too, the alliance of the ruling party and the police administration is oppressing the SC category and the common people. He said that in Jalandhar, especially in the Kartarpur constituency, the common people including Dalits are being oppressed on a large scale. He said that during the tenure of the current SSP of Jalandhar Rural, people have been illegally arrested and sent to jail by the Lambra police station in a false case of theft.
And the Sarpanch of a village was also illegally taken away by the police from his house. Apart from this, other Sarpanches who are not related to the ruling party are also being oppressed. Apart from this, challans are being presented to people who have been declared innocent in false cases, apart from this, action is not being taken quickly even in serious cases like murder.
BSP state president Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri said that the AAP government is also oppressing the religious affairs of Dalits. He said that liquor shops have been opened in Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the land touched by the feet of Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji, and in addition to this, illegal liquor branches have also been opened. An attempt is being made to convert the Guru Ravidass Guru Ghar of village Chang Basoi in Hoshiarpur into a Panchayat Ghar. Apart from this, the walls of Guru Ravidass Guru Ghar in village Dheletan of Phillaur constituency were broken. However, the government later realized its mistake and admitted to building the walls again, but no action was taken against the DC of Jalandhar and the SSP of Jalandhar Rural who were responsible for this in this matter. Necessary action should also be taken against them as per the law.
Along with this, the Chief Minister of the state should apologize in this matter. Apart from this, the government has not provided necessary help to farmers, Dalits and laborers in the flood cases. The law and order situation is also deteriorating, which needs to be normalized immediately. Apart from this, despite the government's claims, drugs are still widespread and people are dying. There is a dire need to end this evil.
Demand for justice for the victims family in the case of Puran Kumar and to stop the atrocities against Dalits in Punjab as well
