Hoshiarpur:- A delegation of Kadi Sangharsh Committee led by Darshan Singh Mattoo reached Hoshiarpur to meet Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain regarding their demands. Due to the absence of the Deputy Commissioner, his office received the delegation's demand letter through Tehsildar Harjot Singh.
The demand letter demanded that the stipulated time be strictly implemented by the Deputy Commissioner and challans be issued against overloaded tippers and trolleys.
Chaudhary Achar Singh (Bildon) demanded that tippers and trolleys running without number plates and without necessary documents be seized immediately. Along with this, strict action should also be taken against tractor-trolleys carrying loads.
On this occasion, Gurnik Singh Bhajjal (State Leader, Kul Hind Kisan Sabha) and Kulwinder Sanjha (President, Vikas Manch) also raised the demand for immediate stoppage of illegal mining in the area. Ravinder Kumar Neeta and Gurmeet Singh Pangli were also present in the delegation.
The leaders of the committee warned that if their demands were not met soon, they would be forced to hold sit-ins, demonstrations, traffic jams and other intense struggles. They said that the Punjab government and administration would be fully responsible for such a situation.
