Hansi:— With the objective of providing citizen services in the district in a time-bound and transparent manner, a video conference meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner to review pending cases on the Auto Appeal System (AAS) portal. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars. During the meeting, pending cases on the AAS, Saral, e-Disha, and PPP portals were reviewed in detail, and officials were directed to ensure their disposal within the stipulated timeframes.
While reviewing the pending cases on the AAS portal, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal stated that all appeals and cases must be disposed of within the prescribed time limit. He emphasized that providing services to citizens on time is the primary responsibility of the administration, and no form of negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
During the meeting, he issued directives to ensure the prompt resolution of cases pending at the officials' respective levels. The Deputy Commissioner stated that unnecessary delays in the disposal of appeals and cases must be avoided, and the RTS (Right to Service) time limits must be strictly adhered to.
He directed officials to ensure that all applications received on the Saral portal are either approved or rejected within the prescribed time limit, thereby preventing these cases from escalating into appeals on the AAS portal. The Deputy Commissioner noted that timely decision-making would spare citizens from facing unnecessary inconvenience.
Pending caste verification cases on the PPP portal were also reviewed during the meeting. He directed Revenue officials to ensure the verification of caste-related cases on a daily basis, as delays in verification are currently causing delays in the issuance of numerous certificates.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that delays in income verification are adversely affecting the process of verifying caste certificates and issuing the final documents; therefore, this task must be expedited.
Issuing directives for the immediate disposal of long-pending cases on the e-Disha, Saral, and other portals, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all officials to monitor these portals daily and ensure timely updates so that pending applications do not escalate into formal appeals. He directed revenue officials to fix accountability in cases involving unnecessary delays and to maintain strict vigilance at their respective levels.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stated that all officials must work in a coordinated manner to reduce pending cases and ensure the time-bound delivery of citizen services. He made it clear that any form of negligence or undue delay would be viewed with utmost seriousness.
