Hoshiarpur: Davinder Singh Mann, a resident of Saila Khurd, thanked Khanna and his team for securing the release of his son, Harvinder Mann, from Abu Dhabi by paying blood money.
On this occasion, Davinder Singh Mann said that his son Harvinder Mann worked as a driver in Abu Dhabi, where he was involved in an accident in which a person died. Harvinder Mann was not at fault in this accident, and therefore the deceased's family did not file any claim. However, under Saudi law, he was arrested, and the government there imposed a fine of 70,000 dirhams for his release.
Davinder Singh Mann said that he appealed to the leaders of the current Punjab government and his acquaintances to help release his son, but no one helped. Mann said that when he informed Mr. Khanna about the matter, he first collected the blood money from wealthy members of his team and then, with the help of his associate Atinder Singh in Dubai, secured Harvinder Singh's release by paying the blood money. Father Davinder Singh Mann wholeheartedly thanked Khanna and his entire team.
On this occasion, Khanna said that he is proud that the members of his team come forward for public welfare work at his mere request. Khanna thanked his colleagues who provided financial assistance in securing Harvinder's release from Abu Dhabi and his associate Atinder Singh in Dubai.
Khanna thanked the Indian government and said that due to the excellent foreign policy of the Modi government, Indians living abroad are receiving help. Khanna said that it was only with the help of his colleagues and the Indian government that Harvinder Singh was released from Abu Dhabi and was able to return to his work.
