Garhshankar, September 06:- A meeting of the CPI(M) Tehsil Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwinder Singh Sangha. The meeting was attended by Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, Darshan Singh Mattu, Subhash Mattu, Mahender Kumar Baddowan, Neelam Baddowan, Gurbakhsh Kaur, Jaswinder Bora, Ravinder Kumar Neeta, and Achhar Singh.
Sharing the decisions of the meeting with the press, Tehsil Secretary Mahender Kumar Baddowan stated that the convention on September 16 will be held at Yokohama Hotel, Banga Road, Garhshankar. All district committees of Punjab and other comrades will participate in this convention. The convention will focus on two major issues: first, the Modi government's abolition of 29 labor laws to consolidate them into 4 labor codes, and second, the renaming and dismantling of the MGNREGA scheme. Comrade Vikram Singh and K.N. Umesh from the central leadership, along with Party Punjab Secretary Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon, will attend as key speakers, and preparations for the event are underway.
Discussions were also held regarding the protest being organized by farmers on September 7 at the SDM office Garhshankar in support of their demands, and duties were assigned to comrades to ensure its success. The committee reviewed past performance and expressed satisfaction. Zone-wise quotas were allocated for the party state fund, which will be submitted to the state leadership soon. Kulwinder Singh Sangha concluded the meeting by thanking all attendees.
