Ludhiana-05-December-2025:- In the youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, many shortcomings, difficulties and problems of the society were expressed by the students in a very effective way through plays. Sardar Gurdev Singh, ACP (Traffic) was the chief guest at the event.
In this youth festival, prominent Punjabi film actors Mr. Malkit Rauni, Madam Rupinder Kaur Rupi, Madam Gurpreet Kaur Bhangu and Sardar Paramjit Singh, Director, All India Radio, Jalandhar encouraged the students to keep improving their skills in the field of art.
Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor motivated the students to keep striving to fulfill their dreams. The university will provide them with all kinds of help in the field of education and artistic activities.
Dr. Inderjit Pannu, (Florida) and Mrs. Pawanjit Kaur Gill, Sharike Hayat Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh Gill were also present in the function.
Dr. Rabinder Singh Aulakh, Director Student Welfare said that various concerns of life were expressed in these plays. In the play ‘Annhi Mai Da Sapna’, it was shown how badly the partition of freedom had affected the mentality of the people and they used to see their motherland even in their dreams. Through the play ‘Hor Kinne Pakistan’, the world was encouraged to live in an atmosphere of love by eliminating hatred.
In the play ‘Jadon Main Behr Aurat Hodi Haan’, the violence against women and the bravery of the woman who emerged from it were discussed. In the play ‘Zindagi’, there is a story of a child born as a Mahant. The thought and dilemma regarding not handing over the child to anyone else were expressed.
The play ‘Sardal De Aar Paar’ depicted the hardships faced by girls in their lives after they are betrayed in love. In the play ‘Rakat Bij’, the vices like hunger, hatred, corruption found in the society were seen in the perspective of a mythological story and it was told that even after centuries, the situation has not changed.
In the play ‘Neer Nirupan’, an effort was made to show how scary our life and future can be when water runs out.
Dr. Sarvpreet Ghuman, Administrative Secretary said that Veterinary Science College Ludhiana, College of Fisheries, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, College of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science College Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic Kaljhrani and Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar participated in the competitions. He also gave information about the results.
