Una, August 3: Aman Sharma, the District Labour Welfare Officer of Una, has appealed to registered and eligible construction workers in the district to register on the e-Shram portal. He stated that registration on the e-Shram portal would create a national-level database of workers, facilitating access to various social security and welfare schemes in the future.
He informed that construction workers can register on the e-Shram portal by visiting their nearest Lokmitra Kendra or Common Service Centre (CSC). For registration, it is mandatory to carry an Aadhaar card, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, and a bank passbook or bank account details (account number and IFSC code).
Aman Sharma explained that the worker's registration would be processed at the Lokmitra Kendra following Aadhaar authentication (via OTP or biometrics), and a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) would be issued to them. Additionally, free e-KYC for registered construction workers is being conducted on working days at the office of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (Una District) to ensure seamless access to the various welfare schemes run by the Board.
He urged all eligible construction workers in the district to complete this important task promptly on a priority basis and to encourage other eligible construction workers in their vicinity to register on the e-Shram portal and complete their e-KYC.
