Bhawanigarh/Sangrur, 3rd August:- MLA of Sangrur constituency Mrs. Narinder Kaur Bharaj today handed over appointment letters to five newly appointed Anganwadi workers, congratulating them for the new responsibility and appealed to them to make public service their main focus. She said that Anganwadi workers play a very important role in ensuring health, nutrition, education and all-round development of women and children in society.
MLA Bharaj said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working for the welfare of every section of the state. She said that the role of Anganwadi workers is very important in effectively delivering the schemes being run for empowerment of women and children to the village level. Therefore, the Anganwadi system is being further strengthened by the government by appointing eligible candidates.
She expressed hope that the newly appointed workers will discharge their responsibilities with full dedication, honesty and spirit of service.
The MLA said that the aim of the government is to deliver better nutrition to every child, necessary health related services to every mother and benefit of government schemes to every family. In this direction, the responsibility of Anganwadi workers is very important and they work as a strong link between the government and the people.
Among the Anganwadi workers who received appointment letters are Amandeep Kaur (Village Munshiwala), Jagdeep Kaur (Basiarkh), Zarina (Rajpura), Manpreet Kaur (Nadampur) and Gurkamal Kaur (Khilrian). On this occasion, all the newly appointed workers assured to discharge their duty with full dedication and responsibility.
On this occasion, C.D.P.O. Bhawanigarh Mrs. Neha Singh, C.D.P.O. Sangrur Mrs. Saru Rana including other officers of the department were also present.
