Sangrur, August 15:- The Congress party suffered a major setback in village Jhneri when Congress leader S. Hardeep Singh Fauji, along with his supporters and their families, announced his decision to quit the Congress party and join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj warmly welcomed S. Hardeep Singh Fauji and his supporters into the Aam Aadmi Party and encouraged them to work actively for strengthening the party.
On this occasion, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that leaders and workers from various political parties are continuously joining the Aam Aadmi Party, impressed by its pro-people policies, transparent governance and the work being done for the overall development of Punjab.
She said that every leader and worker joining the party is given due respect and their feelings and suggestions are given full importance.
She said that leaders and workers of the Congress party are disappointed due to the ongoing internal discord and factionalism within the party. In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party is working to fulfill the promises made to the people of Punjab and take the state forward on new paths of development. She said that people are now giving priority to development, education, health, employment and public welfare instead of traditional politics.
MLA Bharaj said that S. Hardeep Singh Fauji has experience in the political and social fields. He had also contested the Block Samiti election this time on a Congress party ticket. She said that his decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party along with his supporters reflects his faith in the policies of the party.
She assured the newly joined leaders and workers that they would be given full respect in the Aam Aadmi Party and that their services would be fully utilized to take the party's policies to every household. She said that all leaders and workers would work together for the progress of Sangrur constituency and Punjab.
S. Hardeep Singh Fauji thanked MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj for welcoming him into the Aam Aadmi Party and said that he was impressed by the pro-people policies of the party and the development works being carried out by the Punjab government. He said that he would work with full dedication for strengthening the party and the welfare of the people.
